64-0403 JEHOVAH JIREH 2_ LOUISVILLE.MS
201 God is "perfected" in three's, and "worshiped" in seven's, and "tempted" in forty's, and "jubilees" in fifty's, oh, whatever you want to do. All the math, the Bible runs in mathematics.
65-0801M THE GOD OF THIS EVIL AGE_ JEFFERSONVILLE.IN
37 We find now, this evil age is to prove, to Satan, She is not like Eve, that She is not that type of a woman. And She will be tried by His Word, the Bride, as Adam's bride was tried by the Word. And Adam's bride believed every bit of the Word, all, but confused on one promise, that, "He's the same yesterday, today, and forever," today, see; but failed on one promise, under the temptation of the enemy, face to face. And now, the people that's called for His Name, of course, is His Bride. She is to come in contact again by the same thing; not by just denominational truth or something, but every Word!

69 But, and look, clearly makes it clear, you will never be the Word unless you was a thought at the beginning. That proves the predestination of God. See? You can't be the Word unless you're a thought. You had to be in the thinking, first.
But, you see, in order to stand temptation, you had to bypass the theophany. You had to come down here in flesh, to be tempted by sin. And then, if you stand, "All the Father hath given Me will come to Me, and I'll raise him up at the last days." See, you had to be first.
60-1210 THE PHILADELPHIAN CHURCH AGE_ JEFFERSONVILLE.IN
256 Now this great "temptation," the hour of temptation that shall come to try the whole world, goes into the Tribulation. Just in a few minutes we'll see it. Goes on into the Tribulation, and the Tribulation did not come in the days of Wesley. So what age are we in? What's this "Door" set before? It's between the Wesley and the... where the church is headed right now, and already in, to the Laodicean age. But this little place right in here, within the last thirty-five, forty years, has been a "open door" setting right before the people to come in, and God will take the Remnant and seal It off. And they'll go on into a lukewarm and He'll spurt them out of His mouth. The work'll be cut short, up goes the Church, and here comes the antichrist moving in for destruction. Just perfect, fits with the whole Bible right on around.
57-0828 HEBREWS CHAPTER TWO 3_ JEFFERSONVILLE.IN
288 God could not suffer in Spirit. He had to become flesh, to feel the pain of sickness, to feel the temptation of lust, to feel the temptation of want, to feel the temptation of hunger, to feel the power of death. That He might take it upon Hisself to stand in the Presence of the great Spirit Jehovah, the Spirit, not the Man; the Spirit, to make intercession to this life. And Jesus took that, in order to make intercession for us, for He knows how it feels. When you get sick, He knows how you feel. When you're tempted, He knows how you feel.
