320 Yet, that's the same thing stands today. Men and women can go to church and have the long face, and--and pious as they can be, and never lie, steal, and try to live their religion as best they can. But, unless they are a believer, they're lost. So there's no scratch of legalists in the Bible. Calvinism is... Grace is what God did for you, and works is what you do for God. It's absolutely separated.

61 When you've done what you know is right, when you've met His requirement, when you've confessed and made right and done restitutions, and laid it before God, I don't care how silent He is, He's still God, waiting to put that faith there. You done your works, now He wants to see your faith by your works. He wants to see what you'll do.

E-20 You see, a man's character is made known by his works. Whatever you are, your works prove what you are. No matter how much you testify, whatever you say, pro or con, that has nothing to do with it; your works tell what you are, tells what you are inside. Every job that you do manifests what you are.

9 God is in man. And He's identifying Himself today in His church. In the born-again Christian, God identifies Himself, that He remains God. And the outside world will only know God as they see God in you and I. That's the only way that they'll know God, is when we are written epistles, epistle of the Scripture, we are read of all men. And the life that we live reflects what's on the inside of us. A man is identified by the works that he does. So our works should be good, see, always good, because we are representing our Lord Jesus Christ.

33 And a hybrid religion is no good! As long as you're trying to add something to what God said, or do something that God don't want you to do, it's a hybrid religion. It might look pretty. Oh, hybrid corn will outshine the natural corn. An ol' mule will outwork two horses. Well, that's... It ain't working, brother, it's grace that we're saved by. "Not by works are we saved, but by grace." So that might... I hope you don't think these remarks... You're--you're setting under a strain, and I--I feel it up here. You see? Because there's Presbyterian, Methodist, and all kinds in here. We know that. And so I--I feel it. And you have to relax yourself a little once in a while, get that shake off, like.

101 Then faith without works is dead; if you say, "I believe it," and don't make no act. Just like the Message, if you say, "I believe it," don't make an act, what good does it do? See? Noah went to work with his hammer and built an ark, to confirm what he was talking about. That's what we have to do, too. We have to go to work and prove our faith, by our works. Our works proves our faith.
